“People who want to be determined by one thing in life are terrible, because there is no such thing as “the race of life.”

INTERVIEW: Francisco Calderón M. – PHOTOGRAPHY: Romina Moraga

Romina Moraga studied law to be a successful lawyer, but she believes that in life you cannot study a single career and pigeonhole yourself into it, but that you can do many more things and that is how she found her thing: astrology. Why did you choose to study astrology and what has your life been like between a traditional career like law and astrology? This is his story.

You are a lawyer and you like to study astrology. What motivated you to choose 2 such different disciplines? I am a lawyer and I love astrology. I entered this world when I was studying for my degree exam, at the university. The truth is that studying so much law drove me crazy… I had an article written on every brick in my room, every morning I got up and recited them, really crazy. This is why I started reading other types of things and that’s when I came across an Instagram of a girl who talked about astrology. Her name is Mia Astral. It is very well known internationally. She talks in broad terms about what astrology is about and I found it super interesting and, in addition, I had a friend who also started to talk to me about astrology, so we started sharing and that’s how I started studying as a self-taught person. After that I signed up for astrology courses and I loved it. At first, I started studying it out of curiosity, until I saw what astrology really suggests. It is much deeper than reading an astrological chart, it is like a vision of life. The truth is that it resonated a lot with me and with the person who had already changed, because I started studying law at 17 years old and at that age you don’t know what you want in life.

“In terms of law, I really like being able to have the tool to solve any problem that arises, both for me and those close to me. It happened to me that when I was younger, I had too much of a girlish face to be a lawyer and many people wanted to take advantage and see my “face” so to speak, so I had to learn to defend myself.

What do you like most about law and astrology?

In terms of law, I really like being able to have the tool to solve any problem that arises, both for me and those close to me. It happened to me that when I was younger, I had too much of a girlish face to be a lawyer and many people wanted to take advantage and see my “face” so to speak, so I had to learn to defend myself. I feel like I have a giant tool. The other thing is that I have helped many people with my knowledge and for me it feels good. Besides “the lucas” are good, being a lawyer you earn well. What I don’t like about law is a lot of structure, a lot of bureaucracy, a lot of formality, a lot of solemnity, and the truth is, I don’t know if the situation is any better these days. As for Astrology, I also consider it an excellent tool, it has helped me a lot and I have also been able to pass on my knowledge by helping other people. I am going to leave one piece of information, those who want to read the astrological chart need their exact time of birth, this can be done through the birth certificate issued by the civil registry. Your time comes out there. It is complicated because not everyone has it, since it is a procedure that must be done in person. For a while it could be done online, but the Civil Registry page collapsed, and they had to remove it. The time has to be the exact time, because the birth chart can change approximately every two hours. All houses change (depending on the ascendant where you are), and it is extremely important information when performing an astrological chart reading. So the time of birth should ideally be exact.

“…they thought that the astrological chart was the tarot, it always happens to me, that all people think that I read the tarot, and it has nothing to do with it.”

What do you like least about law and astrology?

In law, the solemnity, the bureaucracy, the formality, they bother me and all that kind of unnecessary things, because anyone can be an excellent lawyer without much. And what I like least about astrology is that there are many people who cannot access this beautiful information that the universe gives us, simply because they do not have their exact time of birth.

What does your boyfriend or boyfriend think about your love of astrology?

I no longer have a boyfriend, but he liked it, it was something we shared within everything, of course he didn’t study it. Astrology is like a philosophy of life, that’s how I see it.

…»People who want to be determined by one thing they do in life is terrible, because there is no “race of life”…»

What do your parents or family say about astrology, with law being a more traditional career?

At first my parents did not know what an astrological chart was, they saw me as the one who spoke strange things, they thought that the astrological card was the tarot, it always happens to me, that all people think that I read the tarot, and there is nothing what to see So, I have been explaining to them and they have understood a little. My parents have always wanted me to be a prestigious lawyer, but the truth is, I don’t think that’s my profile. Even so, they have always supported me and do not restrict me in “that I have to be a certain way”, clearly I did not meet their expectations, but the important thing for them is to see me happy.

Have you had in mind devoting yourself to tarot or getting more into astrology?

Yes, clearly tarot is something that catches my attention, I have not had the chance to study it yet, it is something that I do want to study in my life, and thus be able to complement it with astrology and other disciplines. Currently I am still learning astrology every day, without paying for a course for now, but obviously this has a more technical training, so I still plan to continue taking courses forever because I really love it and it is infinite knowledge, you will never finish learning.

Do you think law and astrology are compatible? How they relate?

If you had asked me a while ago if law and astrology are compatible, I would have said no, but now I think so. To begin with, because I have spoken with many clients who have their beliefs, I think I have helped people with astrological things while I was looking at lawyer jobs, and vice versa, so in that sense they are related. I believe that people who want to be determined by one thing make their life, and I find that: terrible!, because there is no “career of life”, there is knowledge, learning, so many tools, because I will not only be a lawyer and astrologer, one day I will be a consciousness facilitator, family constellator, hypnotist, tarot reader and so many other things that I would love to be able to learn. I have a list of all the things I would like to study and there are actually many. Before I saw it as very different from the traditional, but seeing it now, I find it great, because in my resume they see it as an interesting mix and it gives me a plus within everything.

…»Be consistent with who you are, and when that happens, magic happens… because everything begins to flow…»

What do you predict for Sublime magazine?

I hope that Sublime magazine does very well, I am going to send them all my energy to make it so. I also hope that you can make good content and that it reaches the right people. May this knowledge help or guide other people. Knowledge always has to be shared and what better than in a magazine where they can present various topics that contribute to humanity. So I really hope with all my heart that this is the case, that all this, which is done with great dedication, reaches the key people, that the people who see a report from you click on it and say “wow”! An “aha moment” or a “uranazo” as they would say in astrology. That’s all I predict for Sublime magazine.
